the banking system in Thailand is not like the west. Very few banks actually show you a name and reference of a transfer, just the transfer code. Every place I've rented asks for either an upload to an app of the slip or it to be sent via line. Many places if paying through scan will also take a picture of that slip too.

Why even consider risking it 🤦 you're potentially fucking up your future over a few pieces of paper, 1900 baht and a couple of hours at an Immigrant office...

Contact your hotel either directly or through booking.com and ask for a tax receipt

Although admittedly I've not been there for a few months so might not have them anymore

I know quite a few people who work in Singapore and visit Thailand regularly using visa exemption (5+ times p/y). So long as they can prove they are required to return to Singapore if asked some immigration officers will overlook it. It's not quite as cut and dry as you're making it out to be. Like everything in Thailand... It's very flexible if you get the right person.

The same analogy you've used of "just because you don't know someone" can be applied here. I will add though I find the 230 days on visa exemptions quite hard to believe.

you get 90 days from the date of issue to use it, so if you apply 60 days before you should be fine

maybe wanting to stay 90 days, which would require a 60 day TRV prior to arrival if they didnt want to border bounce
