Unfortunately most condos in Bangkok prohibit pets. I've never seen it, but most agents will tell you there's a housing regulation in BMA (bangkok metropolitan authority) that prohibits it, but I don't think that's actually true.
Especially with a larger dog, you're probably going to be limited to houses and townhouses. Use FB marketplace and ask the agents/owners if they accept pets. I think there's even a FB group for properties in bkk that accepts pets.
Benjamin Hays actually a good majority of hotels away from the sumumvit line can be found under 1k baht a night. I'd assume if theyre traveling with a large dog then they ha e their own transportation, so shouldn't be an issue. Finding a hotel that takes dogs though might be tough.
