Also, You don't need Thai insurance, just insurance that matches the requirements of the Non-OA (40k-400k). You only need a Thai policy if you apply for a 1 year extension inside Thailand.

Gary Fuchita Yeah, so the initial Non-O is 90 days, then you apply for a 1 year extension. Non-O requires money in a Thai bank but doesn't require health insurance, Non-OA requires health insurance.

No, Non-OA can only be obtained outside Thailand and in your home country or country of legal residence.

You can apply for the Non-O based on retirement inside Thailand.

The social security is valid for COVID insurance, as required for the Thaipass. Non-OA is a seperate visa that requires a specific Non-OA insurance. I haven't seen anyone use SS for the Non-OA.
