Certificate of residency. In Bangkok you need to be on an Non-immigrant visa and have completed 1 in person 90 day report to get one. Your other option is to get one from you Embassy. The US embassy issues them for $50, but you have to make an appointment.
You cannot obtain a tourist visa in country. If you're having issues meeting the financial or insurance requirements for the OA renewal, you could transition to a Non-O extension.
Lol it was a hard choice man, I still miss Bogota but I'm getting settled here. Life is easy here man, it's hard to leave that. I'm still back and forth between where I want to be, Chiang Mai or BKK. Been in CNX since September and I like it, but I miss Bangkok a bit from time to time.
