why? because they send the data to immigration and if the data comes from you or from a private company I really don't see that it should be less work from immi
That is not what I am saying. I say that the swift code consists of a BIC code which is the banks identification code for example KASITHBXXX and with money transfers from bank to bank we use SWIFT/IBAN where IBAN is the customers account number

yes it is ok I know that many use that system but I don't use it because I don't want to give my passport number to private people I know nothing about - but maybe it is just me being a bit paranoid 😅
