You don't be stupid. The DTV is great for what it is, same as the retirement visa is great for what it is. No one is not saying the DTV is not a tourist visa .You need to get real about the retirement visa and its' limitations.

Yes, visas will change for sure. A good observation on some non o's displeasure with the DTV. This fetish some have over 12 months and not having to leave the country is crazy.

OMG 360 days is basically a year. Retirement visa has to be renewed yearly and is a glorified tourist visa In your words. Gives no permanent right of stay and just because there is no border hop involved it does not change its' glorified tourist status .
