Plenty of DTV holders have opened bank accounts by themselves or via an agent despite recent changes.

Basically yes but if you extend your stay at immigration you would need to provide evidence of a Muay Thai course enrollment.

I have entered and departed several times since getting my DTV in Dec. Arrived this morning after a couple of months away, no questions asked. Multi entry visa gives you the freedom to come and go as you please.

That is not true, London Embassy has approved several property owners some with just one property. You show how you manage it online and document the relative income. You can find posts in the threads

Michelle Cannan No you don't need a return ticket. I just had a one way. You need to put an arrival date and departure within 180 days. You can put an intended flight

I got my DTV in one day day but that was last Dec when they did in person same day approval applications in Taipei, it takes around 4 days there now doing it online. Where are you applying ? Yeah you have to do a border run to come back in with your DTV.
