6 entries and not been asked to present anything or seriously questioned. I bring copies of my DTV docs just in case.

Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, I think are the easiest. I got mine from Taiwan but know several who got it from SE Asia. You should also check the main DTV group of FB which has a lot of posts from SE Asia applicants.

You are liable to pay tax if you spend more than 180 days a year in Thailand.

AnxiousAfterApplying Jakarta is easier than Taipei for SP. in Taipei you have to show employment, business registration, income etc for softpower same as workcation. I got my workcation DTV from Taipei when you could apply in person. several softpower applicants were surprised by this. Yeah, you will have to pay again.

Oh, sorry I misread your response so i deleted my initial response. In Taiwan, it is usual to have an interview, unlike some other SE countries. The interview is usually just to clarify what you have submitted and i found it the easiest part of the process. Taiwan focusses on your employment, income, business registration even for SPERs. If you want to apply for SP, other embassies are easier., Jakarta, Manilla, Vietnam.

Extremely doubtful someone would go that far and win. The embassy has the right to make requests in order to satisfy itself the applicant meets their approval criteria. Some countries do request the ID of employers and sponsors. In many countries though it is unlawful as you outline.

Anonymous participant No, it will not affect another application. Others have failed at one embassy and applied elsewhere and been successful. HKG is not an ''easy'' embassy to apply from.

When it was in person, it was the norm to be approved in a day or 2. Now online it can take a bit longer depending on when your interview is scheduled. Although recently someone posted of getting approved within a day and her husband approved the next day as a dependent. I would agree that Workcation is easier in Taipei, which is what i got when it was in person application, The SPers have to provide similar info as workcation plus proof of softpower activity.
