yes you can do that. As long as you stay in the parameters and top it back up 2 months before renewal.

Make 100% sure you have your dates correct or wait a little longer just in case and topup 3 mths before renewal.

no you need 20k thai baht or equivalent in cash.

They may not ask but rhey can deny if you don't.
Chris *******
If you can afford it, leave the money alone.

One day or 1 baht out and it's a serious pain to start all over.

They are not flexible on that.

3 months after and 2 months before renewal.

Overstay bans do not come into play until 90 days or more.

Any overstay will not look great in your passport and can cause problems at entries possibly, depending on the IO you are in front of.

Some visas cannot be applied for if you have overstay also.

As long as you are paid up and not caught and deported in most cases its okay to re- enter.

Some countries may frown on overstay when you enter also, Singapore for example can be tough on overstay in your PP.

the requirement is 2 months before and 3 months after.

Never going below 400k.

Every year.

Each office may have slightly different requirements, pictures etc.

The information the OP has posted is essentially correct.

Each office may have slight variations on timing etc.

He will need to verify these at his local office.

The financial requirements are 800k in an account in his name only.

His wife as trailing spouse/ dependant requires no Financials as she is "piggy backing" on his,

He will be fine.

Here is a good resource with Phuket specific details BUT the essentials are mostly the same.
