You should be able to get a one time 60 day visit Thai family extension to allow you some time.

This way you can still keep the visa.

Otherwise if you leave, without a reentry or it expires its done.
Chris *******
Regardless of rumors, follow the entry instructions as directed and you will be fine.

They will not "lockdown" again but may require proof of vax or maybe an entry test.

Not more difficult than it was before.
Chris *******
If your visa is "under consideration" there is no need.

When under consideration just go the first day open back and get your second stamp, no worries.
Chris *******
Firstly there was never a "COVID VISA" it was a Covid19 extension of stay.

Issuing was finished at the end of September.

You may be able to get a 30 day extension of stay, ONLY if your embassy will issue a letter stating that you cannot return home because of the Covid situation there. This is near impossible now.

AND that would be totally at the discretion of whatever immigration office you go to.

Phuket immigration will consider applications on a "case by case" basis.

The only embassy issuing letters are Ukraine because of the "war" currently.

China stopped the Covid letters as of Dec 1st.

SO the answer is... its done.

no that is untrue.

It depends on the embassy whether they will do it.

For example Canadian and US e-visa is no problem.

Husband applies first gets 90 day non -0 based on retirement.

Wife then applies as trailing spouse will get 90 day non -0 also.

Then after arrival can extend one year.

Not all Embassies and immigration offices have the same rules.

no that is for retirement 800k NOT marriage 400k.

However depending on the embassy where the visa is obtained you may be required to have insurance to cover the initial visa 90 days.

The in-country extension will not require any Insurance.

This is becoming the norm with non-0 obtained outside of country.

Not to be confused with OA which requires Insurance to be valid the entire duration.
Chris *******
It does not have to have international origin for marriage extension.

You have to fulfill the years extension of 400k until the next renewal PLUS have a years worth of deposits to qualify under Income.

For most it is easier just to maintain the 400k.
Chris *******
You must maintain the 800k requirements for the entire extension before renewing and moving to 65k income method.

It must be 12 consecutive months without fail.

There is zero chance of "close enough".

If you were extremely lucky and the officer doesn't look close enough at your statement...who knows?

You will likely have to maintain the 800k requirements for another year.

But if you use an agent some things can be "fixed".
