Question about financial requirements for non o guardianship logistics
Planning on non o guardianship visa for my wife and I, matched with student visas for our 2 kids. For the finances, do my wife and I need separate bank accounts or can we do a single joint account?
Hello! I will be making the move to Bangkok from the U.S. soon with my daughter. My question is can I come over on the education visa and then switch to the dtv visa? I know I have to apply outside the country for that one. Which country is best to do that from?
Hi all I have a question for a visa extension for 1 year based on guardianship of child at school here is it possible to have the 500k held in a multi currency account like transferwise? Does it have to all be in 1 account? I am trying to avoid the large transfer fees bringing it in to Thailand and back again. Can the total sum be held across more than 1 account? Any help appreciated
My friend is Japanese and is on a tourist visa. She plans to apply for a Non-Immigration O visa (guardianship) in Tokyo next month as her first older kid has already got ED visa here.
I have heard that for a child under 15 years old, there's no penalty for overstay in Thailand but if she wants to make it technically legal, what kind of visa should her baby apply for?
Looking to ask questions about guardianship visa. I’m part way through the process, which I thought would be over by now and wonder what’s left to do. Anyway I’d be grateful if someone in the know could pm me or point me in a good direction. Thanks
I have a question regarding the guardianship visa and I’m hoping I might finally get a solid answer to this question.
I am aware of the stipulation of needing to have 500,000THB in a Thai bank account for around 90 days in order to be eligible.
BUT! I have also heard on a number of occasions from other expats, that if you (or your household) earns a certain amount of money a year, then it would negate the need for the 500,000THB to be on hold in an account.
Is this true? If so, would anyone happen to know what salary per year is needed?
