Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok - Hotel

• Service, albeit remote, was delightful
• Quality, quantity and choice of food was excellent
• Standard of English was as good as I have experienced in any Thai hotel in 45 years
• Hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood

• More movie channels needed!

Staying in a room for 14 days with only 3 trips out for 5 minute COVID-19 tests is not something I would recommend; but if you must leave the country and come back there is no choice. Staying at the courtyard by Marriott made the quarantine easy. Thank you to everyone!

• Right from the word go, everything worked like clockwork. It went beyond my expectations, good example of team work.

• I have nothing negative to say, the 14 days just flashed by.

From the time I met the driver at the Airport, to the time I was driven to the BTS at the end of the 15 days, the service given by the Courtyard staff was impeccable. I am a vegan and was mildly concerned that I might have some complications with my food, but the Food and Beverage Team excelled. Whenever I phoned reception, the phone never rang more than once - amazing. What more can I say - thank you, Courtyard Team.

• Staff was friendly and courteous although for the most part invisible except during check-in and check-out.

• Unnecessary inconvenience for foreigners that are fully vaccinated.
• Hotel rates are extremely overpriced compared to non-ASQ rates.
• Set menu each offers little variety in food choices; portions are small; and quality average at best.

Actually 2 person 35 sm room. Would not permit 2 people to stay in 30 sm room (ridiculous that 5 sm makes any difference). Accommodations where extremely overpriced especially given the market. Marriott has this same room for 2 persons occupancy with buffet breakfast included for 1,350 THB ($45 USD) per night starting July 3rd. My cost for 2 persons under ASQ was 234 USD. I hardly believe that it cost Marriott an extra 189 USD per night to provide my spouse and I 2 extra mediocre meals each day and a Covid RT-PCR test for each of us on day six (actually Their ASQ information states any extra tests will be charged at 4,500 THB or 133 USD). There is no housekeeping service during your stay although they will provide fresh towels and linens upon request. Finally, we were not permitted to leave our room during the entire stay.

In closing, my opinion is the Thai government and hotel industry is using the ASQ program to enrich themselves at the expense of naive foreigners. My recommendation to anyone is do not travel to Thailand until such time they have the virus under control (likely not until sometime in 2022), and all restrictions have been lifted. Unless you come to see family you will be very disappointed as many businesses are closed by government order or voluntarily due to limited business.

We had a loverly 10 nite stay at the courtyard. Since we are 4 we took connected rooms, one being family room. Nice spacious and breathing space for all. Very friendly informative staff. Also the BNH hospital people took their job serious with joy where possible. An absolute recommender

A pleasant stay. Was given a corner room that was quite pleasant. Still very confining after 2 weeks. Air Condition seemed hard to find happy medium but is small thing. Entertainment options good

The ASQ measures are well organized and implemented. There is enough number of choice for the meal.
