Hello everyone,

I’m currently getting all my documents ready for DTV application this coming May in Jakarta. Will also be applying a dependent DTV for my 16 year-old son. I just have one very important question which I hope I could get some help from this group with. Would the 500k in my account and a sponsor letter for my son (from me) be sufficient for his application? Or do we need another 500k for him? 😬🙏🏼 thanks so much in advance everyone!

Dear Friends,

I’m currently in Bangkok. I will apply my dtv from Vietnam at the end of this month.

I would like to know that;

Can I start apply on application partially now and get ready during inside Thailand ? then, When I reach Vietnam I will add the rest of information. After that summit.

I’m abit worry if this is break the rule or it is ok to do that. It show that to apply when we are outside of Thailand.

Can someone suggest me, please.

Thank you very much.

Hi. We want to apply for the DTV visa but we have a 20 year old daughter traveling with us. Can we include her as a dependent in our visa? She will turn 21 when we enter Thailand.

I want to apply for a 90 days non o visa inside Thailand. Situation: Entered Thailand 12th of February (visa exempt 60 days) together with my Thai wife and 4 children, kids all have Thai id's. My question is regarding the financial requirements to obtain the initial 90 days non o visa. I have searched the whole of internet and didn't find conclusive information.

I think a bank statement from my home country will be sufficient and a Thai bank account not required. (almost impossible to open anyway on a visa exempt)

My wife called the immigration office, they mentioned bank statements but stamped by my embassy.. I actually doubt this answer. Does anyone here have the correct information? I'm trying to avoid going back and forth multiple times to the immigration office and have all paperwork done correctly at my first visit.

DTV Approved

Hey DTV crowd! First of all: Thanks for alle the valuable information in this group 💛 Without you, applying for the DTV would have been a nightmare.

So here is my experience applying in Phnom Penh, Cambodia under the Worcation category:

I prepared all documents in advance and uploaded them to the e-visa website, without submitting my application. So, when I arrived in Phnom Penh, I just had to add my "proof of current location".

For each PDF I created a clickable table of contents.

For all German documents I created an automatic translation with Google Translate and added it as a screenshot.

These were the documents I supplied:

1. PDF file for "Proof of current location":

- Entry stamp into Cambodia

- Visa for Cambodia

- Flight tickets Bangkok-Phnom Penh and Phnom Penh-Bangkok

- Hotel Booking for the first 4 nights in Phnom Penh

- Rental contract for my condo in Bangkok (I know, this doesn't fall under "current location" but due to file size restrictions this was the best place to proof my future location in Thailand)

2. PDF file for "Financial proof of no less than 500.000 THB":

- 3 months of bank statements (German)

- Screenshot of the English translation from Google Translate

- Screenshot from Bangkok Bank about the current exchange rate (as my account is in Euros)

Note: I had a little less than 500.000 THB in my bank account for several months and only topped it up in February. So, I added a note that due to exchange rate fluctuations I had to add more money recently.

3. PDF file for "Business Portfolio":

- Short CV with work related information

- Information about my products & services and my clients

- Confirmation of employment letter written and signed by myself

- Authorization of remote work written and signed by myself

- Operating agreement & Articles of organization of my US LLC

- Service Level Agreements with my main clients

- Bank statements showing my income plus related invoices for 6 months

The application process took the full 10 business days (plus the day of application), just as indicated on the embassy's website. The approval came pretty late, after the business hours of the embassy. So, don't be alarmed if you haven't heard anything by 5 pm on day 10!

Also, be warned that it's impossible to contact the embassy in Phnom Penh! They don't pickup the phone, they don't answer any emails and - according to second-hand information - they don't let you in if you visit in person!

And one more thing to consider for my nomad friends: Internet in Cambodia is a nightmare! So, be prepared to take a holiday or watch the hour glass forever!

DTV - Remote Work Approved - Singapore.

Applied on 12th March, request more doc on 23th. Request for interview on 19th and approved right after.

I suspect it's part of their SOP here in Singapore for interview just to verify documents and some basic questions on finance statement.

Important lesson:

1. Rejected my first application because I summited my application while I was still in Thailand, they could verify my TH exit stamp during interview. Rejected right on the spot so I had to apply again. My fault 100% so please do not risk this and lose your application fees.

2. My bank statement is mostly transfers to my Thai bank (spending and payments), also incoming transfers from my income. I supplied(They asked) my Thai bank statement so they could verify I am not just moving money out and back. I suspect they are looking out for money laundering. They want to make sure your bank account is actively in usage instead of just for applying for DTV.

During casual chat, I was told they are starting to reject DTV, not sure if it's just Singapore or embassies across the globe due to scammers etc.

Please treat your applications and their requirements like a checklist, strictly. You will get it approved if you check all their required boxes, also bank statement. No react.

Cover letters to explain various points like income sources and transfers would bring clarity so they could approve you faster.

Thank you all in the group for all the help!

Hello

I have a DTV visa. When I applied I had 500,000 Baht in my personal account. Now I have a company in Hong Kong and I keep the money there. Will the company's bank statement be accepted for visa extension?
